What is the Mobility Innovation Collaborative?

The Mobility Innovation Collaborative (MIC) is a program supporting mobility innovation through providing technical assistance to and sharing knowledge about innovative mobility projects.

The MIC website captures stories and lessons learned from about 50 innovative mobility projects across the United States, and more broadly supports:

  • increasing awareness about developments in mobility innovation projects;
  • facilitating knowledge exchange;
  • fostering a community for mobility providers.
Who manages the Mobility Innovation Collaborative program?

The MIC program is managed by the Shared-Use Mobility Center (SUMC) in partnership with the Federal Transit Administration (FTA).

Who is a member of the Mobility Innovation Collaborative?

Currently, there are about 50 transportation organizations participating in the Mobility Innovation Collaborative. These transportation organizations are either Integrated Mobility Innovation (IMI) or Accelerating Innovative Mobility (AIM) Grant recipients.

Who Administers the Integrated Mobility Innovation (IMI) and Accelerating Innovative Mobility (AIM) Grant?

The IMI and AIM grants are administered by the Federal Transit Administration Office of Research, Demonstration and Innovation

Does the MIC provide direct grant opportunities?

No, the MIC program does not provide funding for projects. 

The MIC program and website provide technical assistance, knowledge sharing resources and project information based on the work of IMI and AIM projects .
